Latest Updates from Our Project:

Did someone say Orcs? (+ T'Lorra the Blessed!)
5 months ago – Mon, Apr 24, 2017 at 05:02:46 PM

We have just broken the £200,000 milestone, that’s a quarter of a million dollars…

Thank you. You've blown me away.

We are over 700% funded and things just keep on getting better! We have unlocked our 29th stretch goal which adds another scenario to the game and it wont be long until we add the Jamba too, so let’s look at what’s coming next:

£212,000: We will add 2 more factions to the game bringing the total up to 14.

£219,000: Constantine's Revenge will be added to the game!

£227,000: A new creature template and standee will be added to the game representing the Orcs!

Kickstarter live stream

Last night hundreds of you joined me for a 3.5 hour live stream where we talked through the game and answered a lot of questions, thanks to everyone who came along!

You can watch the stream here.

T'Lorra the Blessed

Driven by a holy fury, T’Lorra the Blessed is the last High Priestess of the flying Vadora who will stop at nothing to free her enslaved people from the terrors of Hoodrah Kelraz. Although outwardly calm and composed thanks to her years of meditation and prayer, T’Lorra has a passionate heart which burns with her love for the skies. Skilled in the Wind Dance – once a ceremonial martial art, T’Lorra has transformed it into a deadly whirling ballet of blades to make her a formidable fighter.

Tier 1 skills

Bonded (Passive)
Whenever you interact to draw 1 quest card, you may draw 1 extra quest card.

Eagle’s Rally (Passive)
If another hero is at your location (tile) then your basic attack gains +2.

Remove Curse (Heal)
Remove 1 curse token from 1 hero in range (including yourself).

Defend (Passive)
Incoming basic attacks are reduced by 1.

Tier 2 skills

Seer (Interact)
You may look at an adjacent tile without exploring it.

Wish (Heal + Move)
Move to a hero in range and then perform 1 basic heal, targeting the same hero.

Tier 3 skills

Soothing Words (Special)
Perform 1 basic heal.

Wardstones (Special + Heal)
Put 3 weak wardstone tokens on 3 different tiles in range.

T'Lorra has many powerful defensive skills to reduce incoming damage and perform reactive heals but she's also a powerful fighter.

Would you prefer to bond with survivors and help them with extra side quests or learn to defend yourself?

Will you use soothing words to keep your allies alive or cast a vengeful prayer on your enemies?

Which of T’Lorra’s skills will you choose?

Live today & Thralir
5 months ago – Mon, Apr 24, 2017 at 12:12:07 AM

In just a few hours time I will be going live on our Kickstarter campaign page to answer any questions you might have and to walk you through the game.

You can join me here at 18:00 BST | 13:00 ET.

The cooperative adventure

For the past 10 days we have been adventuring across Facebook, Twitter, Board Game Geek and Kickstarter, and have uncovered 32 of the 56 cards.

It's time for the final turn and we must see whether Earthshaker can save the day.

Every comment on this update will move Earthshaker 1 space, you will need to keep track of where he is (good luck!) and in 24 hours time I will reveal the final positioning.

So, up, right or left, who wants to go first?

Each person may only vote once.

Thralir Hillfeet

A ferocious fighter armed with his family warhammer, the diminutive Thralir Hilfeet must fight with his eyes shut during the day; but that doesn’t seem to stop him being just as deadly! The dwarven King had never seen the sun before Vesh’s invasion of Flintrock, spending his entire life underground as one of the brave Deep Delvers, but after seeing 280 of his kin die when Vesh broke the walls of his home he fought his way clear and leads what is left of his shattered people.

Tier 1 skills

Ice Blast (Interact)
Remove up to 2 fire tokens from tiles within range.

Pitfighter (Passive)
When your hero is on a mine tile your basic attack does +3.

Remove Curse (Heal)
Remove 1 curse token from 1 hero in range (including yourself).

Stony Curse (Special)
Place a -1 heal token on 1 creature in range.

Tier 2 skills

Guildmaster (Special)
Draw 1 item card and add it to the Trade District.

Fire Bolt (Special)
Place 1 weak fire token on a tile in range.

Scroll of Defiance (Special)
Restore 3 health to all heroes in range (including yourself).

Berserk (Attack)
Anytime: After a basic attack damages you, you may attack 1 creature in range.

Tier 3 skills

Quartermaster (Passive)
Instantly spend 5 stats on your workers. You may increase any worker stats in any combination.

Red Hot (Passive)
Your basic attack does 50% extra damage to creatures on a tile with a fire token.

Wave of Sanctity (Special + Heal)
Heal all characters between you and your target, including you and your target.

Iron Hide (Passive)
When you are in range of 2 or more creatures, incoming basic attacks are reduced by 5.

Thralir is a master of fire, workers and trading, but he’s also a powerful group healer and terrifying when he goes berserk!

Would you prefer to fight in the pits using range and positioning to your advantage or place a stony curse on your enemies?

Will you fill the Trade District with endless options or keep your entire team alive?

Which of Thralir’s skills will you choose?

The internet plays The City of Kings

Thank you to everyone who joined me last night on YouTube and guided Vyliria across the Ageless Realms. It was a lot of fun and the video is now online, I'll be streaming again soon.

Quick setup trays

A few people have been asking whether or not they can get extras of the quick setup trays to use for their other games and the answer is yes! They are available as an addon and you are welcome to purchase as many as you wish. They will work great for any game with a lot of different tokens or small pieces.

Perhaps the last of her kind, the fierce desert leader carries both the memories and the scars of Hoodrah’s cruel nets and burning arrows as he wiped out her home and family in the hot southlands. Now one-handed, she has replaced the missing paw with a blade as she strikes, silent and deadly, a creature of the hunt. Sesharra is quick, savage, and smart, but cares little for alliances and politics of the northern realms.

Tier 1 skills

Landsong (Interact)
Remove up to 2 poison tokens from tiles within range.

Needle Claws (Passive)
Your basic attack ignores 1 shield.

Cure Poison (Heal)
Remove all poison tokens from a hero in range.

Leap (Move)
Anytime: After a basic attack damages you, you may move to an adjacent tile.

Tier 2 skills

Strategist (Interact)
Look at the top 7 cards on the item card deck and put them back in any order.

Poison Bolt (Special)
Put 1 weak poison token on 1 tile in range.

Renew (Special)
Anytime: Heal a hero in range for 5.

Martyr’s Step (Special + Move)
Anytime: Move to the tile of a hero in range who is the target of a creature and become the target.

Tier 3 skills

Dash (Passive)
You can now move diagonally.

Grave Berries (Passive)
Your basic attack does 50% extra damage to poisoned creature’s.

Desert Chant (Special + Transform)
Transform: You can no longer move. Whilst transformed your basic heal is increased by 50%.

Dodge! (Passive)
When targeted by a basic attack, roll 1 chance dice. Reduce incoming damage by the amount rolled.

Sesharra is a master of poison and uses it to deal deadly blows while clearing the way for her allies.

Would you like to have an advantage when searching for items or jump in the way of a Hope Breakers club?

Will you dash around the world or transform into a powerful healer?

Which of Sesharra’s skills will you choose?

Kings Blessing (Special + Heal)
Perform 1 special heal, heroes adjacent to your target also receive 50% of the heal.

Blue-Blooded (Special)
Anytime: After a basic attack damages you, redirect up to 3 damage to another hero in range.

Brutius has several anytime skills requiring careful planning and a reactive play style.

Would you like to command other players into moving or force them to shield you from damage?

Will you stand by your allies and grow stronger, or charge into battle to tear down the next beast?

Which of Brutius’ skills will you choose?

Vyliria Ellion
5 months ago – Wed, Apr 19, 2017 at 10:28:32 PM

Reddit AMA now live!

Join me on Reddit where I'm answering your questions and talking about the game, designing worlds, Kickstarter, penguins and World of Warcraft (2004 – 2013).

Vyliria Ellion

The last Queen of the Woods may have dying flesh and a visage that inspires terror, but that doesn’t stop her from being a powerful ruler for her people. Older than some cities, the Elvish Grey Queen was once the Green Lady who sang to the trees in the sacred groves until they were all cut to the ground and burned by Vesh. Vyliria of the family of Ellion can feel the doom of her people approaching, but she is resolute, and as terrible as a storm. She will not let the world forget the glory of the elves so quickly.

Tier 1 skills

Distraction (Interact)
You may move a trapped worker in range to an adjacent tile.

Weaken (Special)
Place a -1 shield token on 1 creature in range.

Cure Poison (Heal)
Remove all poison tokens from 1 hero in range (including yourself).

Elfstep (Move)
Anything: Your hero may use 1 move action.

Tier 2 skills

Far-sight (Passive)
You can now explore adjacent tiles without moving on to them.

Bolt (Special)
Deal 2 damage to 1 creature in range. Ignore shields.

Tree Blessing (Passive)
When your hero is on a forest tile your basic heal does +3.

Protect (Passive)
Incoming basic attacks are reduced by 2.

Tier 3 skills

Bless (Passive)
Instantly gain 3 stat points to spend on your hero. You may increase any hero stats in any combination.

Frenzy (Special + Attack)
Perform 2 basic attacks, 1 immediately after the other.

Mothersong (Special + Heal)
Perform 2 basic heals, 1 immediately after the other.

Stone Ward (Special)
Place 1 wardstone token on your current location (tile).

Vyliria's skills provide several passive upgrades that can make her much more powerful without introducing new actions, yet skills such as Tree Blessing require strong positional play.

Would you prefer to free a trapped worker from a creature, or would you like to move during another players turn?

Are you going to take Tree Blessing and try to keep near the forests, or perhaps explore tiles without moving onto them?

Which of Vyliria's skills will you choose?
